Who controls your information

Experian South Africa (Pty) Ltd (to be confirmed) is the controller of the personal information described below, processed for the purpose of running The Credit Edge Series webinar portal.
What we collect
PLACEHOLDER — awaiting Experian legal copy. We collect the following categories of information about you.
- Identity data you provide or that Experian supplies when inviting you: full name, email address, company and job title.
- Engagement data generated while you use the portal: which parts of each webinar you have watched (stored as a coverage record, not a video recording of you), which documents you have downloaded, and session information such as device type and approximate timing.
- A hashed version of your IP address, used only for basic session and security context. Your raw IP address is never stored — only a one-way cryptographic hash of it.
Why we collect it
PLACEHOLDER — awaiting Experian legal copy. We use this information to run the portal and to give Experian defensible, accurate evidence of who registered for and watched each webinar in the series, which Experian relies on for its own reporting and follow-up.
Who else sees it
PLACEHOLDER — awaiting Experian legal copy. We share information with the service providers who host and operate the platform on our behalf, each acting under instruction as a processor.
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Supabase (Frankfurt, EU) — database and authentication.
- Cloudflare Stream — video hosting and playback.
- Amazon Web Services SES (eu-west-1) — transactional email delivery.
How long we keep it
PLACEHOLDER — awaiting Experian legal copy. Engagement records are retained for a period configured for this platform (to be confirmed with Experian) and are then eligible for removal. Some records — for example, a log entry proving that a required email was sent — are kept as evidence of delivery even after an account is deleted, because their purpose is to prove that a notice was sent, not to describe an active account.
Your rights
PLACEHOLDER — awaiting Experian legal copy. Subject to the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you may ask to access, correct or request deletion of your personal information. Because this platform exists to give Experian evidence of webinar participation, some records may be retained even after a deletion request, as described above.
